2018 Grants

PTANT provided three types of grants to Member Associations:

Professional learning grant to assist Member Associations seeking to upskill NT teachers in areas relevant to their association. This grant enables teachers to build skills, knowledge and pedagogical practices in a range of disciplines, which provide NT teachers with evidence based programs, practices and teaching styles to improve student outcomes.

Governance grant to assist Member Associations to maintain compliance with the Associations Act 2003 (NT) and regulations. This grant can be used only for activities that align with the requirements imposed under the Act; for example, obtaining assistance, or up-skilling members, in relation to the legislation and/or compliance.

National/International Conference grant to assist Member Associations to co-convene, or host, in collaboration with their national representative body, a national or international conference held in the NT that showcases educational excellence, and enables NT teachers to access high quality professional learning.

26 grants were provided to support 75 professional learning opportunities across the NT, benefiting 820 teachers and 163 non-teachers. Grants were paid in accordance with PTANT grant guidelines.

Note: individual teachers may have attended more than one professional learning event.
