About Us

The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation Northern Territory branch (ACHPER NT) is the leading professional association representing teachers and other professionals working in the fields of health and physical education in the Northern Territory. We are a member based organisation that exists to support, educate and connect people within the HPE sector in the Territory. 

ACHPER NT supports teachers by:

• Researching and identifying emerging industry issues
• Advocating to government and other organisations
• Promoting resources to assist in teaching practice
• Providing member based grants for the National HPE Day
• Recognising best practice in teaching via bi-annual PTANT Awards
